A couple of days ago, we reported that a “serious” Sword Art Online announcement would be made at a special event this morning. Well, the big morning is finally here and the announcement has been published online.
At the presentation, Bandai Namco announced that they have developed a brand new virtual reality app called Lovely Honey Days which is set to be distributed starting later this year.
In the app, players will be able to look at, communicate with and interact with the main heroine, Asuna, through the eyes of the hero, Kirito. The price for the app is a little fuzzy at the moment as all we know so far is that the first chapter will be free but chapters two through seven will require individual purchases.
We also know that the app will feature a section called ‘Chilling Mode’ which will allow players to snap photos of the heroine making facial expressions that normally she would only show to Kirito from various angles.
Pre-registration has already started on the official website.
So there we have it, folks, are you happy with this “serious” announcement or do you feel a little let down by it? Let us know in the comments!
