It seems that Japan is pretty much ready to start welcoming in the summer TV anime season by the way they dropped three new PVs into my lap this morning. Thank you?
In the first new promotional video, Grand Blue is making a splash (see what I did there?) with the reveal that the show will premiere on July 13th and will feature Shounan no Kaze performing the opening theme song “Grand Blue” while cast members Yuuma Uchida, Ryohei Kimura, Hiroki Yasumoto, and Katsuyuki Konishi will perform the ending theme song “Konpeki no al Fine”.
In the 78 second promotional video, we see plenty of character and story information. I have to admit, I’m kind of intrigued by this one.
If you’re wondering who you were hearing in that PV, here’s the cast list (character names first):
Iori Kitahara – Yuuma Uchida
Kohei Imamura – Ryohei Kimura
Shinji Tokita – Hiroki Yasumoto
Ryujiro Kotobuki – Katsuyuki Konishi
Chisa Kotegawa – Chika Anzai
Nanaka Kotegawa – Maaya Uchida
Azusa Hamaoka – Toa Yukinari
Aina Yoshiwara – Kana Asumi
Kodansha currently publishes the manga on their website and describes the story as:
After moving out on his own to a seaside town, Iori Kitahara makes a college debut he never anticipated. A new chapter of his life unfolds, full of diving with beautiful girls and shenanigans with a gaggle of lovable bastards! Idiot-expert Kenji Inoue and au naturel authority Kimitake Yoshioka bring you a glorious college tale filled with booze-fueled antics!
The second promotional video to hit the web this morning is quite the opposite of the man service we just witnessed. So make room in your heart for some new moe!
A 108-second trailer was released this morning for the upcoming series Ongaku Shojo (Music Girls) which premieres on July 6th. If you’re wondering what song it is that you’re about to hear, that would be the show’s ending theme song “Shining Peace” performed by the show’s cast under the name Ongaku Shojo.
Based on the anime short created by Studio DEEN for the 2015 Anime Mirai project, the story for this one involves a group of wannabe idols striving to reach their dreams and goals of topping the music charts.
The voice cast is as follows:
Hanako Yamadaki – Seria Fukagawa
Sasame Mitsukuri – Karin Takahashi
Mirai Nishio – Miho Okazaki
Yukino Hinata – Yuko Ono
Shoop Gushiken – Miyuri Shimabukuro
Roro Morooka – Nako Eguchi
Kotoko Kintoki – Lynn
Haori Mukae – Yui Ogura
Kiri Mukae – Sumire Uesaka
Haru Chitose – Manami Numakura
Eri Kumagai – Asami Seto
Sarasa Ryuo – Mai Fuchigami
Finally, we come to the last trailer to hit the web today which is for the very oddly named Happy Sugar Life which stars a yandere girl who is seriously protective of the mysterious girl in her life to the point that she’s willing to kill. Here, just check out this 53-second trailer and see for yourself.
This dark series will premiere on July 13th and stars:
Satou Matsuzaka – Kana Hanazawa
Shio Kobe – Misaki Kuno
Asahi Kobe – Yumiri Hanamori
Taiyo Mitsuboshi – Natsuki Hanae
Shoko Hida – Aya Suzaki
Daichi Kitaumekawa – Yuichiro Umehara
Sato’s Aunt – Kikuko Inoue
So there you have it sports fans. Have any of these trailers convinced you to check out the series? Share in the comments and let’s compare notes!
